A New Jersey waterpark is building a new themed attraction. The construction site might not look very different from the finished product.
Sahara Sam’s Oasis is debuting Diggerland, an adventure park that will be the first of its kind in North America. There are four Diggerlands in the United Kingdom.
Machines designed for building will be used for thrilling at the 14-acre attraction, which will be located directly behind the existing waterpark in West Berlin, N.J. Diggerland will feature about two dozen pieces of heavy-duty construction equipment, all engineered for amusement. Children and adults will get hands-on experience operating skid-steer loaders, backhoes, tractors, minidumpers, and small excavators. (Yes, you can actually punch a hole in the ground with a 15,000-pound giant digger.)
Diggerland is expected to open this summer.
