One of several theme parks in Australia’s Gold Coast, Wet’n’Wild Water World is Australia’s largest waterpark.
Its newest attraction is Kamikaze, a two-person tube with a sheer 11-meter, U-shaped drop at an angle of 70 degrees. Riders reach speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour. Other thrill rides are the Surfrider water coaster, which simulates the experience of extreme surfing, and the Tornado funnel slide.
Attractions designed for a more relaxing experience include the Caribbean/pirate-themed Calypso Beach lazy river. For the little ones there’s the Buccaneer Bay multilevel, interactive play structure.
With pools and slides heated from April to September, the park operates year ’round, though some events and attractions are seasonal, such as the Dive’n’Movies, screened from November to January in the Giant Wave Pool.
