A manufacturer of interactive play structures and water rides has expanded its sales force to meet the needs of the growing market.
WhiteWater Attractions has hired four new team members. Tania Bayona, Erika Kulbach, Lavendar Zhang and Erik Vos have joined the firm to assist with the development of its international markets, according to a press release.
The Richmond, B.C.-based firm anticipates the move will further open up its communication lines and expand its client services.
“We’ve welcomed some exceptionally talented people to our team and are very enthusiastic about the new opportunities for our new team and WhiteWater Attractions over the next year,” said Doug Smith, president of WhiteWater Attractions.
Kulbach, who will be based in the Vancouver office, holds a Masters of Architecture and will leverage her design expertise to provide integrated solutions for clients. Based in Bogota, Colombia, Bayona comes to WhiteWater with extensive experience in international business development and project management. She also has an humanitarian background having provided post-earthquake assistance in Haiti for two years.
Vos and Zhang are based in Barcelona and Shanghai respectively, and will serve to strengthen the support offered in the company's international offices. Vos will focus on business development throughout Europe, Africa and Russia using his years of experience in the aquatics industry as well as a Masters in Marketing & Mathematics. He is the firm's first Dutch speaking team member, and also is fluent in French, Spanish and English.
In Shanghai, Zhang will be establishing and enhancing relationships within the Chinese amusement industry. Prior to joining WhiteWater, Zhang had worked at Overseas Chinese Town (OCT) Holding Company supporting OCT Shanghai Happy Valley to become one of the most thriving parks in the region.
Additionally, Mike Rigby, an existing sales team member, is transitioning to expand his efforts to new regions. He will be based in Dubai to support the Middle East, South East Asia and India for both WhiteWater Waterparks and WhiteWater Attractions. He brings with him a Masters in International Business as well as project management and account management experience.
