Kalahari Resorts is the latest waterpark to be slapped with an injury lawsuit.
A family of a boy allegedly hurt while riding a slide at the Wisonsin Dells, Wis. waterpark in 2012 is suing the company, claiming their son "suffered personal injury, pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment of life."
According to an article on Madison.com:
"'Kalahari was aware of the unreasonable risk of injury due to prior reported incidents,” the family’s attorney, Brian Hodgkiss stated. 'The resort made “no reasonable alterations or safety precautions… to mitigate that ongoing risk.'”
Kalahari isn't the only area facility with pending litigation. Earlier in March a woman also injured in 2012 filed a lawsuit against Noah's Ark.
In January, a New York waterpark also became the center of legal battle after a man suffered several broken bones in his feet and ankles while the riding the East Durham, N.Y.-based park's tallest slide, Canyon Plunge. Read More
