Like most 5-year-olds, Hannah Nevins is a dreamer.
Today this Verona girl’s waterslide dream comes to life at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions annual conference in Orlando, Florida, where Turkish water slide manufacturer Polin will present her with a 3-D model of her waterslide design.
Following a visit to Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells earlier this summer, Hannah decided that America’s Largest Waterpark needed to be one slide bigger.
So with her imagination as her guide, she put crayon to paper and what resulted was one of the most unique and whimsical water slide designs around.
From there, Hannah sent the masterpiece to the team at Noah’s Ark, who took it to heart.
Graphic Design intern Brianna Thom created a mockup of Hannah’s original design and strategically placed it near some of the park’s other popular attractions and along with a handwritten note, sent the mockup back to Hannah.
Jason Nevins, Hannah’s father, took to Twitter to share Hannah’s excitement upon receiving the response from Noah’s Ark.
From there the park reposted the Tweet with a challenge to some of the world’s best water slide companies to continue to encourage kids to dream and create.
That’s when Turkish water slide company Polin answered the call. They created a 3D model of Hannah’s design and invited Hannah and her family to the industry’s annual conference in Orlando, FL where they will present it to her.
