Aquatics distributor Lincoln Aquatics has been purchased by Pool Corporation, the largest distributor of pool and spa products in the U.S.
Lincoln adds two Southern California locations to PoolCorp’s global presence, making for a total of 346 sales centers in North America, Europe, South America and Australia.
“In many cases Lincoln wasn’t able to serve its customers as well as they could have because of lack of physical presence,” said PoolCorp CEO Manuel Perez de la Mesa. “Now, leveraging our network, they’ll be able to do that better and be able to provide better service, and at the same time, by having the resources of Lincoln, we’ll be able to also provide better service to customers throughout North America.”
Lincoln Aquatics President Charles Luecker has joined PoolCorp to lead its commercial products division. The sales organization also will be incorporated into PoolCorp’s commercial team, while some administrative positions are expected to be consolidated later this year, said Perez de la Mesa.
The addition of Lincoln Aquatics, with its 62 years serving the commercial and institutional pool markets, will further bolster the megadistributor’s steadily growing presence in that sector, said Perez de la Mesa. Since it began focusing on the commercial segment approximately 8 years ago, PoolCorp has seen approximately 15- to 20% growth a year in this arena. In 2016, commercial products generated approximately $100 million in sales for PoolCorp, said Perez de la Mesa.
