University of Iowa Campus Recreation & Wellness Center

Opened in August 2010, the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center has already become a sought after competition venue. There’s abundant natural light and seating for 1,200 surrounds the 13,000 square foot competition pool, including two bulkheads and large enough to host 25-yard, 25-meter, and 50-meter competitions.

The 4,400 square foot dive pool is 17 feet deep. A gold “Tigerhawk,” the symbol of University of Iowa athletics, is inlaid on the bottom, and in addition to a full range of springboards and platforms it features a Sparger system for soft water landings. A dive spa with capacity for 11 provides additional comfort for athletes.

To further support student fitness and recreation, and university wellness programs this zero-depth entry 4,100-square-foot recreation pool includes a current channel, water basketball and water volleyball.There’s also a 310-square-foot recreation spa that holds up to 25 people
