Surf Park Summit 2026 will highlight new surf park developments and the growth of the global surf park industry. Hosted by Surf Park Central, the 2026 summit will return to Virginia Beach, Virginia, between September 1 and 3.
The event will bring together surf park developers, operators, investors, and industry leaders from around the world. Attendees will tour Atlantic Park after its first year in operation and learn from leaders shaping the future of surf destinations.
The event will feature a keynote from World Surf League officials. They will discuss how surf parks could influence the future of competitive surfing. Cole Cannon, founder of Cannon Beach, will also deliver a keynote on the growth of multi-park developments in the US.
The summit will feature leading developers and operators, including Beach Street, Aventuur, Thinking Adrenaline, and Lost Shore.
Sessions will cover how developers can design surf parks for private clubs, attraction parks, and mixed-use projects. Other discussions will focus on gaining community support, managing operational risk, and building surf-focused hotels.
The summit will also host the Surf Park Sharks pitch contest. The competition will showcase emerging surf park developers and new projects. Applications close July 30, 2026.
“Surf Park Summit continues to be the place where the industry’s builders, operators, and investors come together to move the space forward,” said Jess Ponting, partner at Surf Park Central.
