Every year at the World Waterpark Association Conference, the organization recognizes dozens of companies, individuals and waterparks in its awards programs. As the event closes, some of the winners are beginning to get word out.
For instance, Turkish waterslide maker Polin has received a Leading Edge Award for its Utexture manufacturing technology, as well as for VinWonders Phu Quoc, which it states is the largest theme park in Vietnam, at 27 hectares. "We felt so honored and we would like to congratulate the VinWonders Theme Park with all our hearts," the organization said.
Water-ride maker ProSlide gainead three Leading Edge Awards from the WWA for projects around the globe: the custom RideHOUSE Svalgurok at Rulantica, DreamWorks Water Park at American Dream, and the expansion of Atlantis Aquaventure in Dubai. This makes a total of 16 Leading Edge Awards for the company since 2012.
“The Leading Edge Award is a high watermark in our industry, and we’re thrilled to be sharing this prestigious honor with three of our incredible clients”, says ProSlide Chief Commercial Officer Ray Smegal.
