@erinfansley cracked the
Hunger Games code. Well not really. But she did discover that the adaptation of
Catching Fire was filmed at
@ClaytonParks waterpark in Georgia. Other facts about movies involving water scenes have surfaced over the years, often taking away some of the magic. For example, at one point it was thought that parts of
Titanic had been shot in an inflatable swimming pool, but this has since been debunked. Yet the pictures of Leonard Dicaprio and Kate Winslet still make their rounds claiming it's true, leaving many to feel cheated. However, for some reason, knowing
Catching Fire didn't actually take place in the middle of a jungle doesn't change the movie's greatness. In fact, it's kind of a nice homage to the waterpark industry in a way, don't you think? #AISwimSocial

@OMG_Foods was just as happy as we were to find this gem. The honoree Elena must really like swimming. Can't say we blame her. Wouldn't blame her if she felt guilty about slicing into this beautiful cake, either. Not surprising, this is not the only swimming pool-inspired pastry floating around the Net. In fact, a quick image search on Google returned hundreds of really fantastic versions. If you know someone who loves the pool and sweets, bake a cake, take a picture and be sure to share it on Twitter using the hashtag #AISwimSocial!<</body>

@CltAquatics sure seems to keep its patrons happy. It doesn't get much cuter than this. We're loving the kid-friendly dolphin goggles and the fun, colorful environment of this facility. Teaching youngsters to swim is key to promoting water safety, but this proves it can be fun, too. #AISwimSocial

@IntEngineering brought back this favorite of Olympic gold medalist Tyler Clary from the 2012 London Games. Clary is doing what he does best, the 200 meter backstroke, but he's also illustrating the fascinating phenomenon of surface tension. #AISwimSocial

@Imaboutoexplode proves that aquatics facilities can be used for more than just training and swim lessons with this photo of what is allegedly Coldplay front man Chris Martin standing on the edge of a diving board fully clothed while filming the band's next video. Wonder if any of the regular patrons of the Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif. were able to watch from afar. #AISwimSocial
