Kimberlee Rhodes of Tigard, Ore., has filed a lawsuit seeking $12.5 million in damages following the near-drowing of her daughter Victoria last year.

The girl was participating in a U.S. West Coast Taekwondo Association summer camp program, which included swimming activities at the Tigard pool.

According to the lawsuit, the six-year-old was allowed in the pool after staff were informed she was nonswimmer, and Rhodes was promised there would be safe activities for nonswimmers.
