July marks official Park and Recreation Month. This year, the theme is “Celebrate, Advocate, Recreate!” The National Recreation and Park Association will support local agencies as they plan special events to remind communities of the important role played by such entities. These include the Visit a Park With Your Legislator initiative and a social media campaign. A tool kit also is available online.
