The vote is currently taking place to help determine the changes to be made to the next edition of the Model Aquatic Health Code.
Every three years, the MAHC undergoes an update. This is largely managed by the Council for the Model Aquatic Health code. Changes to the federal model code have been proposed and commented upon. Now members of the CMAHC have until Sunday, December 13 at 11:59 Eastern Time to vote on the proposed changes. Based on the outcome, the CMAHC will make recommendations to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which administers the model code. The CDC will ultimately decide which changes make it into the newest version.
