On April 1, operators of the Mountain Creek Ski Resort in Vernon, New Jersey, put up a sign not seen by the public in 20 years.

But it was no joke. Action Park is back.

The park originally operated from 1978 to 1996 but was shut down after multiple accidents, drownings and reports of rowdy behavior by its staff. In fact, the park's history became so intriguing that multiple video clips highlighting the extreme attractions (yes, there was actually a water slide that went in a complete loop) can be found online, including a short two-part documentary that can be seen here.
