Nestled among the acres of pines along the Wisconsin River, ChulaVista Resort has 620 rooms with 200,000 square feet of multifunction meeting space. The Los Rios indoor waterpark opened in 2006, themed as a lost Mayan City. The indoor waterpark features 27 water slides, 14 pool areas, lazy rivers, a wave pool, a kiddie pool and an activity pool. One of the newest rides is the Cyclone, an extreme water slide. There’s also Adventure Lagoon, a 120,000-square-foot outdoor waterpark area featuring a sandy beach area new for 2011. In 2007, Chula Vista Inc. owner Mike Kaminski opened an 80,000-square-foot, domed sports center, designed for expositions and sporting events. In addition, there’s Spa Del Sol; an 18-hole golf course; and an arcade. All told, the mix of amenities means plenty to do for vacationers and meeting attendees, their significant others and kids.
