The Pool & Hot Tub Alliance has decided to move this year's World Aquatic Health Conference to a virtual format.
Originally scheduled for Oct. 13-15 in Houston, the event now will take place online Dec. 7-9.
The organization cited increasing COVID-19 infection rates brought on by the Delta variant.
"We were so excited to reunite in person after holding WAHC virtually last year," the group said in its announcement. "But with the continued spread of COVID-19 and the danger of the Delta variant, we feel it is in the best interest of our speakers, attendees and sponsors to move to a virtual format once again. Many of you work in public health and related fields, so we hope you understand why we had to make this decision."
