Drainsafe® was created to educate the pool and spa industry about the hazards associated with child suction entrapment. Our determination with the combined efforts of other child safety advocates have produced industry standards which have been accepted and referenced in the federal law commonly known as the Virginia Graeme Baker Act of 2008.
During our efforts to educate, we have applied our 40+ years of pool and spa industry experience to solving these problems. We have assisted in engineering products which meet and even exceed the VGB 2008 Act and referenced standards.
You will find information supplied here does not recommend one standard certified product over another. We only have suggestions on what the aquatic safety products should do to protect our children from Suction Entrapment.
