A technical issue has prompted the International Lifeguard Critical Incident Response Alliance (ILCIRA) to renew its call for participation in a first-of-its-kind survey exploring how drownings and other critical incidents affect aquatics professionals.

According to ILCIRA, a technical issue with the survey platform caused many respondents to submit incomplete surveys that will not be included in the final data. Participants who have already responded may need to retake the survey and complete every page, including the consent form, to ensure their responses are counted.

Designed to help improve psychological and emotional support for aquatics professionals, the anonymous survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and closes August 31. Additional information and the survey are available at ilcira.org.
