In 1977, NSF International combined all of its pool and spa product standards into NSF/ANSI 50: Equipment for Pools, Spas, Hot Tubs and other Recreational Water Facilities. Products certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI 50 meet the highest level of product compliance and acceptability within the industry.
NSF/ANSI 50 is referenced by most state and provincial health codes for pools, spas, waterparks, and building and construction codes. The NSF mark demonstrates a product’s compliance to these codes.
