The largest ski resort in New York just got a little bigger. Hope Lake Lodge & Indoor Waterpark at Greek Peak Mountain Resort opened in December 2009.
Located in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, Greek Peak has been known for its winter sports activities since the 1950s. Today, Hope Lake Lodge, featuring Cascades Indoor Waterpark, takes the property to a whole new level.
Open to hotel guests and condo owners only, the 41,000-square-foot indoor waterpark includes a 67,000-gallon wave pool, a three-story tube slide, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and body slides. It also boasts the Big Bear Falls interactive play structure, a 1,000-square-foot water basketball pool, and a toddler play area.
The North Woods lodge-themed property now is in the process of achieving a LEED Silver status.
All of the utilities, including the water recycling system, are energy-efficient, and air quality is maintained using a state-of-the-art air quality system that uses ionization to replicate the quality of fresh mountain air.
