The key this time is for both lifeguards to move forward at the same pace. You can pick up some more speed, just be sure one guard is supporting the victim’s head so that it doesn’t go under.

In the video above, AI‘s resident lifeguard expert, Pete DeQuincy, offers a few more important tips. Watch for your guards to maintain an open airway on the victim. They should also have a good hold of the victim. They can use different kicking styles, but it’s crucial that they’re moving at the same speed.

The victim’s role is equally important. See if you can spot what he’s doing wrong before DeQuincy points it out.
